Countdown!!!

We leave for the beach Friday & it can't get here soon enough. I cannot wait to lay around & do absolutely nothing!!

Yesterday, Allison & I met to walk the lakes. We hadn't gone in 2 weeks. Everyone's been busy on the weekends  &  yesterday was no different so we met at 7:00 am. We also thought it would be cooler. Yeh right. It was 80 & really humid.

I had a ton of errands to run. Allison & I made plans to meet up for lunch & then a little shoe shopping. One of my first stops was Super Walmart. I went about 2 years without setting foot in a Super Walmart. I just hate that store. However, I needed to pick something up & I knew they had it & it was convenient so off I went. Want to know what that something was????
It's a CD. Yes, I know I need to move into the 21st century & just download stuff to the iPod on my iPhone but my Expedition is 7 years old & doesn't have an iPod hookup but it does have a 6 disc CD changer. Besides, this came with a DVD & a poster. I didn't know about the poster but when I saw it I told Dean I was going to hang it by our bed. He wasn't amused. HAHA!!! So, of course as soon as I get in the car I put the CD in so I can enjoy the boys while I deal with traffic. Yeh, not happening. I had 6 CD's in the changer so I ejected 1 & when I went to load the new CD it was stuck halfway in & out. Lovely. I got it out but the other 5 weren't moving. Not only would they not move, none of them would play. Great. We're only a few weeks away from trading in the Expedition so of course it decides to break now. Dean spent a lot of time today working on it. Those CD's are NOT coming out but he did get them to play. Someone, whether it's a mechanic at the car dealership or a new owner of my Expedition, is going to have quite a surprise when the CD's finally come out. There are 2 NKOTB, Fuel, Britney Spears & a religious one. HAHA! Nobody can say I don't like a variety of music.

I'd bought a Groupon a few weeks ago for a little store in the mall. I went to spend it yesterday. They had some cute stuff. I got this top.
Last week Wendy, Allison & I were looking at makeup on Sephora's website & we found some stuff on sale. It came in Friday & I love it. It has pretty much every color eye shadow I could ever need & probably some that I don't!
It has eye shadow, lip gloss, eye liner, blush & bronzer. It's got a great mirror & that black compact looking thing is to interchange the shadows & blush to take with you when you can't bring the whole thing.

Allison & I met at McAllisters for lunch. It was delish. Afterwards, we headed to my favorite store, Shoe Station. UGH! I was so disappointed. I didn't find anything. That NEVER happens. Allison didn't find anything either. We were both looking for a taupe/light tan pair. We headed over to Kohl's since it practically shares a parking lot with Shoe Station. Look what we found!
Cute huh? We each got a pair. We decided to check out DSW just in case we found something we liked better. Everything we saw wasn't as cute & cost more so I think we did good. I did find something in the little clearance room in the back of the store. I've always been lucky in that little area. I got these.
These look black but they're dark brown. I love them & they're actually comfortable! While I was shopping Dean was crabbing with his dad. Once we both got home we went & had dinner at Monjuni's. It's one of my favorite Italian restaurants. They always do Groupon & Living Social too so that's nice.

Today we worked in the yard awhile & then cooled off in the pool. If you want to call it that. The water was a tad warmer than ideal. I managed to catch up on the Housewives & then went to Yogalates this afternoon.  I never go on Sunday's but I really enjoyed it. I may make it a habit.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Shopping

Today was a perfectly delightful day! Dean & I went to 7:00 Mass & then did our grocery shopping. We were home before 9:00. I caught up on RHONY. I just don't know what to say about those ladies. Anyway, I took a nap & was up for 10:30. I hate getting up early to go to Mass at 7:00 but it sure is nice to get all that done before lunch!

My parents came over after lunch & we spent several hours in the pool. We actually got some rain yesterday evening so the water felt great. I decided to go to Cato this afternoon. I don't go there often but my friends Allison & Jill are always able to find stuff. I really needed a few things due to the 17 lb. weight loss. Well, I hit the mother load! This was one of those days that doesn't happen often for me. I tried on a ton of stuff & I could've bought it all! But I didn't. I wanted to. But I refrained! I've been wanting a Maxi Dress. I tried one on at the Gap Outlet when we went to the beach. I loved it & it was like $25 but I didn't buy it because it was strapless & I didn't know if I'd like it. Well, I've regretted it. So much so that when Allison told me she was at the outlet mall near here I asked her to go to Gap & see if they had it. They did but it wasn't on sale & it was going to be $50! I don't call that an outlet store price. Anyway, I found one at Cato.
For whatever reason it looks blue in the pictures. It's different shades of green.  Soooo comfy too!
Dean couldn't have cared less about anything I bought except this.....
He feels the same way about bags as he does about shoes - I have too many. I've been wanting a pink purse & it was only $16!!!  I can't tell you the last time I've seen a purse that cheap. Granted it may not last forever but that's ok. Next up...
I really like the neckline on this one. I'll wear it with capri's or black shorts.
I LOVE this top!! I tried to buy a pair of white shorts to wear with it but you would know they didn't have my new size. I started to buy a size down from my new size because I still have some weight to lose but I decided to just wait.
Those are silver studs all down the side of this one. Cute!
Earrings off the clearance rack for $4.00! I don't think you can ever have too many earrings. I also bought 2 pair of Capri's. I didn't take pictures because they're just capri's. I got a khaki pair & a grey pair.

Earlier in the week I had a Dr's appt. & I had to pass right by Shoe Station. My truck just turned in the parking lot! I need a pair of casual black shoes. Yes, I really did NEED them. Due to an unfortunate incident involving me getting out of a travel trailer, the pair I have are torn up beyond repair. I got these.
They were $40 on sale for $20 & then of course I had a coupon. I've said this before. Don't shop at Shoe Station without a coupon!!! Last week at Logan's party my cousin had on an adorable pair of Yellow Box flip flops. I wanted a pair but they didn't have my size. Friday at lunch I went to the other Shoe Station & they had them.
You can't tell from the picture, they're bronze but as you move & the light hits them they change to purple. Not in a cheesy, ugly way. Like a muted LSU flip flop. Had to have them. Also on sale for $20 & I had a coupon. I also went to Kohl's since it's in the same shopping center. I'm looking for a new swimsuit & apparently I've waited too long. They're very picked over everywhere I go. I really just needed new bottoms. I managed to find a cute one. I forgot to take a picture. Friday night Dean & I ate at La Carreta & then went to Target to check out their swimsuits. I found a really cute top on the clearance rack for $4.99. I'm a happy camper now. I had a great shopping weekend!!

Happy Friday!!!

I'm so glad it's Friday!!! Hopefully, the day will go by quickly. Last night Dean & I had to go to Lowe's. Dean's off today & he's going to do some stuff in the yard. We decided to have dinner at Chili's. Let's just say this hasn't been the best eating week for me. I had a cup of chicken enchilada soup. O.M.G. sooooooo good!!! The queso is good too but I like my friend Allison's version better.

Since we were going to Lowe's & Shoe Station is right there & I had a 25% off coupon we stopped there too. Shoe Station ALWAYS has a coupon in the paper or online. I NEVER buy shoes there without a coupon. Last night I found these.
I LOVE them!! Fuchsia, 3 inch heel, what's not to love right?? They surprisingly didn't feel too uncomfortable when I tried them on. The original price was $34.99 but they were on sale for $19.99 & then with the coupon I got them for $15. You can't pass that up! I have a dress that I bought last summer that's black & white with a pink belt. I plan to wear it for Easter & I thought these would look good with it.

A trip to Shoe Station isn't complete without a flip flop purchase. I can't help it. I love them. I think I'm addicted maybe. I really wanted some sort of yellow ones but surprisingly they didn't have any. I got these.
I love all the bling! I don't have any silver flip flops & these are comfy. I like the thick heel.
These were originally $50, on sale for $40 & with the coupon I paid $30. The brand is Corky's. I've never had that brand but I liked the bling better than the Volatiles. While I was paying Dean signed me up for the "Free Shoes For a Year" contest. He kept talking about how much money it would save him. Personally, I think he's really lucky that I'm perfectly content to buy cheap affordable shoes & don't need a closet full of Louboutins! Oh & he bought a pair of flip flops too!

This weekend the LSU baseball team plays Cal State Fullerton. This is a huge series. Fullerton is really good & LSU has only lost one game but they haven't played anyone that's any good so this will be a great test to see just how good or not so good LSU is.

Fullerton has been one of my faves since 1998. They came to LSU for Regionals. LSU beat them which meant they went to Omaha to the College World Series. After the last game the entire team came across the street (where we all tailgated) & ate & drank with us. We had sooo much fun. We all gave them LSU shirts & hats & they gave us Fullerton hats & shirts. The ones they were actually wearing. To this day I still have the shirt I got & it's one of my favorites. It's so comfy but I'm sad to say it's getting pretty thin & probably won't last much longer. Yes, I know t-shirts don't generally last for 13 years. Anyway, after tailgating with them several of us took several of the players to a local bar & hung out. Tailgating at The Box & meeting some of the opposing teams was always so much fun! Needless to say this weekend with Fullerton brings back a lot of great memories. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
