Hungry anyone??

My camera came in the other day! WOO HOO!! I was excited. It took forever! Anyway, it's here & so far I really like it. The only pictures I've taken were of stuff in the living room while I was laying on the sofa watching TV. I did load the software on to my computer, get the battery installed & set the date. I had every intention of reading through the manual to figure out how to work it but of course it doesn't have a manual. Just a quick start-up guide. To read the manual I have to go online. I hate doing that. Oh well, I'll give it a try.

I was surprised to see how small the camera was. I knew it was going to be smaller than what I had but this thing is smaller than my iPhone!
It's PINK too!!! How cute is that?? This thing is going to be great! It will fit in a pocket! Now I'm on a mission to find a cute little case for it. I can't carry around a camera as cute as this in an old ugly black case can I??

Moving on. Thursday night Dean & I joined Cliff & Sheri at a wine tasting. It was a fundraiser for Boys Hope/Girls Hope of Baton Rouge. The wine tasting was at Texas de Brazil. There was wine, wine, wine & appetizers. There was this one that was advocado on a cracker thingy with a boiled shrimp on top. DELISH!!!!

Dean & I were both off Friday. We went to Lowe's & Sam's. I LOVE SAM'S!!! Seriously, love love love. I know some people wouldn't be caught dead buying clothes at Sam's, but I'm not one of those people. I found these flip flops. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on my feet!! The were marked down to $9.71. Can't beat that!!
Sam's always has name brand clothes. This sweater is Kenneth Cole & it was $18.
This one is Izod. I think it was $16.
After Sam's & Lowe's, we had lunch at DeAngelo's. They have really great pizza & the slices are huge!
My favorite is the Cheesy Italian. Sooo good. This morning I got up really early to go have my hair cut & highlighted. I'm really happy I was able to get that done. My hair was getting a tad flat & I don't do flat hair.

The rest of the afternoon was spent working in the backyard. Ugghhh!! Note to self, when you want the entire backyard landscaped remember that means the entire backyard will need to be weeded & re-mulched. Dean did the front yard Thursday when he was off. 13 bales of pine straw later he was finished. We put 20 down today in the backyard around the pool. We still have 2 beds to go but they're not really big so it shouldn't take long. Thankfully, the weather was somewhat cooperative. It was only 77 when we were working.

We went to Mass this afternoon & then stopped at Mike Anderson's to eat. Seems like we did an awful lot of eating this weekend. Anyway, it was delish as usual. We had a group of 18 high school kids sitting next to us. They were going to homecoming. One of the girls had on the most AWESOME pair of shoes I've ever seen!! I refrained from asking the 15 yr. old where she got them but oh they were greatness. Gold glitter heels, ribbon, GREATNESS!!! I think I'm suffering from shoe withdrawals. When I was going to Communion the lady next to me had on a fabulous pair too! The pair of flip flops I got at Sam's are the first pair of shoes I've bought since I can't remember when. I haven't bought a purse since Christmas either!

So, now we're home watching this sorry excuse for a football game. LSU is winning but this is one of the most boring games I've ever watched. I'm thinking tomorrow is going to be a day filled with a whole lot of nothing!!

Toodles!

Could It Be??

YES it's RAINING!!! I can't believe it. It's actually raining!!! We haven't had any rain in weeks. Actually, I think it's been a couple of months. So far today we've had 3 showers. We need more but it's certainly better than nothing. Dean & I spent the morning in the yard. I pulled  a lot of weeds & Dean dug up some of the gazillion purple irises that we have. There were some areas that they had completely overtaken.  I feel like I did about a million squats! Hopefully, I'll be able to walk tomorrow.

Last night I spent the evening with Amelia-Ann.

Her parents had a function to go to so she decided to stay with us. Dean was listening to the LSU game so me & A-A went to dinner. We went to DeAngelo's & had pizza. It was sooo good! The slices are huge! We each ate half a slice so we could go to Cold Stone for dessert!

Tonight we're going to Scott & Lydia's for a crawfish boil. Friends are in town from Florida so not only do we get to see little Logan, we get to meet little miss Leah for the first time. I'm also looking forward to the Fudgesicle daiquiri! They're soooo good!!!

While I type this we're watching the LSU game on TV. It's not good. It's the 4th inning & they're losing 4-1 & have given up 2 HR's this inning. I have a new philosophy since they've been on this skid. If  they're not going to make it to Omaha, I'd rather them not host a regional. My theory is if they host it just cost us money & takes up pool time. I don't want to spend money to watch them lose. I'd just rather the season end & I'll float around the pool those 2 weekends in June that would otherwise be spent sweating at that place they're calling The Box.

I'm off to fix my hair. We're leaving soon.

Toodles for now!!!

It's Been A Weird Day

I learned a few things last night. I'll back up. Allie (same Allie from the last post) was 16 yesterday. She shares a birthday with my brother who was 33. That just really makes me feel old to say my little brother is 33. Uggghhhhh! Anyway, Dean & I were invited along with some other friends to go eat at DeAngelo's for Allie's birthday. Tuesday is trivia night. We've never been to Trivia Night before & weren't sure what to expect. It was sooo much fun! I figured unless they asked questions about very random things, I wouldn't be much help. The very first question was what was Tupac's real name? Well, everyone at the table looks at me because they know I'm the only one that might know this. I didn't. If they would've just asked what Snoop's real name was! Come to find out Tupac Shakur was his real name. I didn't know that. I also didn't know that Kraft made Velveeta. I thought Velveeta was it's own thing. Needless to say we didn't win.

Today was a ponytail day. That means I have extra time in the morning. This morning before I left for work I managed to fold a load of clothes, eat breakfast, fix my lunch & stop at the store & buy some knock off Splenda! I deem the day a success!

Oh, something else I learned is that 20 oz. Dr. Peppers are cheaper buying them out of the machine at my office then they are at Walmart. $1.48 vs. $1.25. Who would've thought that??

At lunch I went to Lowe's to pick up a few things.  I love Lowe's! Today was an interesting trip. I was looking for Jo Max. This stuff is great for cleaning stuff outside. I can never remember where it's at but Dean said at this time of the year it's always at the end of an aisle. Yeh, always, except when I'm there by myself. I asked someone & while he was very nice, he didn't know what I was talking about & when I explained what it was he sent me to lawn & garden which I knew wasn't right. Luckily, I saw someone else & he directed me to the right spot. For future reference, it's on the same aisle as the stain. So, as I'm walking across the store I see a guy wearing something that looks a little strange. I look again & I see that it's a glove. Not like a work glove or anything, it's a Michael Jackson glove. You know like from back in the day when he wore one glove?  It looked exactly like it. White with sparkles or rhinestones or whatever it is!! Now, some of you may think that this guy was a "heeeyy" (if you listen to Kidd Kraddick you know that means living an alternative lifestyle) but he didn't look like it. I know looks may be deceiving but he was a big guy, dressed like he'd been outside doing manual labor. He was with a couple of other guys that looked to be his co-workers. I couldn't tell if he was wearing a ring because the glove was on his left hand. I don't remember which hand M.J. wore his on but I was thinking it was his right. I tried really hard to take a picture but the iPhone camera isn't exactly conducive to taking pictures of moving objects. It kept coming out blurry so I gave up. I wonder if he was just a huge fan & that's how he's paying tribute to M.J. or if he's just some sort of weirdo??

I'm very excited to announce that our next Disney vacation is booked!!! YAY!!!! We will be staying at the Coronado Springs. I'm very excited!

Toodles!!
