Workout Wednesday

I think I'm back on track. As long as the weather cooperates. We had a lot of rain last week so I didn't get to run until Saturday morning. I was going for 3 miles & I did it. 34:38 was my time which is good for me. No ankle pain either.

Monday morning I got up early & ran before work. I'm trying to get back into my routine. I did another 3 miles. This time in 36:18. Yuck! I've said this before, I run slower before work. The only explanation I can come up with is before work I stay close to my house & run what amounts to a circle multiple times. When I run after daylight I go all over the subdivision. Boredom maybe?? Who knows. I'm trying to do weights on run days. Normally, I come home from work & watch something on the DVR while I workout. Most of the time it's Real Housewives of OC or House Hunters. This particular day was a rerun of Flipping Out. I love me some Jeff Lewis! I'd love for him to be my gay BFF.

For some reason I felt drugged all day. Like I'd taken sinus meds. Apparently, Zyrtec & prescription nasal spray have that effect on me. I really don't understand why/how people do drugs. Who wants to feel like that??? Anyway, from 3-5 through May 12th at Starbucks is Happy Hour & Fraps are 1/2 off. One of the guys I work with went & picked some up.
I tried the Caramel Ribbon Crunch. Normally, I go without whip because of the calories but you know sometimes you have to treat yourself. I ALWAYS go with nonfat milk. I'm one of those weirdos that actually prefers it because it's not so thick. Anyway, this thing was AHHHHMAZING!! Soooo good. Like really, really, really good. You should try one.

Tuesday I went to Yoglates. I was curious to see how I was going to feel after running Monday. Last week my quads were sore every step I took. It was a tough workout. I couldn't decide if I wanted to run this morning. I really thought I was going to be sore & I didn't want to overdo it. I don't want to be hurt again. I actually felt good all day yesterday & was never sore so I ran this morning. So glad I did because nothing was sore & I ran 3 miles in 35:03. It's really true what they say about getting out the door being the hardest part.



  1. Oh, that caramel stuff looks scrumptous, and I want one!! Yes, zyrtec does that, I hope your taking it at night, and if so, you may wanna take it a little earlir so that you don't feel drugged all day.
