Marriage

has made me stupid. I've been saying this for years but it's never been more evident than this week. I've managed to be late for just about every thing I've had to do except work. I've set the alarm clock numerous times only to have it not go off. Yesterday, I set my cell phone alarm because I KNEW I couldn't screw that up. Guess what? Yeh, it didn't go off either. I've set the house alarm off. You name it, I've done it. Completely ridiculous! Thankfully, Dean will be home today. Who knows what time seeing as how his flight was delayed 3 hours. They didn't leave Anchorage until 2:00 am central time. He's going to be so exhausted.

Friday night we had so much fun at Wendy's birthday dinner. We got Wendy a NKOTB t-shirt. We knew she'd love it & we got a great reaction.
Saturday morning me, Allison & her sis Andrea did our walk/C25K run at the lakes. I started Week 2 which means 90 second runs. It's definitely more difficult but at the same time it feels amazing when you're finished.

Next up was home to get dressed for the movie. My mom & I went & saw The Help. It was so good but of course I liked the book much better. I thought the movie was a little choppy, if that makes any sense. The movie was over 2 hours so of course they couldn't included everything but it just didn't seem as seamless as I expected but still really good. After the movie we went to Borders. The discounts have increased & I was surprised that I was able to find more books. Everything was 40-50% off.

We had a late lunch at Brewbachers which was delicious as usual. Last night was our Fantasy Football Draft. I was able to get a nap in beforehand. That would be when the cell phone alarm didn't go off & it caused me to be late but thankfully, I wasn't the last one to arrive. Wendy wasn't able to make it to the draft so the fate of No Thugs was entirely in my hands. I was nervous but I think it worked out pretty well. Time will tell.

Is that the sun???

YES!! Not only has the sun been shining but the temp is like 70! It's great! Yesterday was the same & it was gorgeous. Such a shame that I had to work all day. We've been outside all morning. We pulled a few weeds, I swept the patio while Dean took care of the pool. After Mass this afternoon Dean is going to BBQ & I think we'll spend the evening on the patio. We have to take advantage of the weather because it's supposed to start raining tomorrow. Then I'm sure it will be cold again.

This week has been full of visiting & eating!! The other night I got to visit my friend Liz & her new baby, Michael. I hadn't seen her in awhile so it was fun to catch up. Michael is too cute. He's 7 weeks old & is just so tiny! Wednesday night Dean had a work function so I had dinner with my good friend Allison. We went to Brewbachers, which is a local restaurant/bar. "Back in the day" this was our hangout so it was lots of fun to hang out there again. And we did hang out. For like 3 hours! That's what so great about Brewbachers. You can sit there as long as you want & nobody cares. Last night we went with our friends the Gillio's & the Mitchell's to dinner at Reginelli's. This is a local pizza place on LSU's campus. We hadn't been before & it was really good. Did I mention that I had pizza for lunch as well?? Yeh, I did. There's another new pizza restaurant that's not far from work. They have a lunch buffet so me & "the boys" went for lunch. "The Boys" being our friends Stan & Aaron. They work with me. That pizza was good too but Reginelli's was better.

I've started cleaning another closet. I started this morning before we went outside. Technically, all I've done is taken stuff out of the closet but it's a start. I probably won't finish until tomorrow. I figure if it's raining then that will be the perfect project.  I'll take pics once it's all done.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I NEED A DAY OFF!!

I know, I know, I've just had 2.5 days off but I was really busy! WARNING! This is a long post with lots of pictures!

Friday I had a short day so when I left work I went to World Market. I wanted to get some martini glasses & a shaker & I had a coupon. I found these.

So cute!!

Friday night Dean's cousin Cassie & her little boy Cody went to the LSU baseball game with us.

This was Cody's first game. I think he had a good time!

Aside from watching the game & seeing his picture on the scoreboard, we ate.

Soooo good! The icing is my favorite part! This is Cody with Dean.

Unfortunately, LSU lost but Cody didn't care!!

Saturday, I had to get up early because I was going to the St. Patrick's Day parade with Allison & her family. They picked me up at 8:00. The parade was at 10:00 & even being that early we had a really hard time finding a parking place. Well, I should say Joey (Allison's hubby) had a really hard time finding a parking place. He dropped us off with the rest of the crew & went to park. This is Cael on the way with his first treat of the day. He wanted an entire pack of Oreo's but his daddy talked him into a Cookies 'n Cream Hershey bar!!!

I stopped Friday night & got daiquiris for us to bring to the parade. We had mudslides, the breakfast of champions!!

This is some of the group. We passed the time waiting for the parade to start taking pictures. This is Jill, Nancy, Amy, Me, Allison & Sally.

Allison's little boy, Cael, wasn't the least bit interested in the parade. He was very busy.

He was also very interested in eating! Here we are with the treat of the minute.

This is Jill's baby Preston. He just turned a year old.

I could've just sat & watched people all day. There were so many interesting sites at this parade. Like these people.

I really don't understand what the point of this was or who they're supposed to be. Maybe the Krewe of Cutoffs??

This is me & Allison after the parade with a bunch of the stuff we caught. We both had to take a bunch of stuff off because we couldn't stand up straight!

We were starving by the time the parade was over so Allison, Joey, Cael & I had a late lunch at Brewbachers. It was delicious. They dropped me off at LSU for the ballgame after lunch. LSU managed to pull out a win after losing Friday night. After the game we went home & Lydia & Scott dropped Logan off. We got to babysit him for the first time. We had sooo much fun! He never stopped moving! He was walking all over the place but if he wanted to get anywhere in a hurry he got down on all four's & took off crawling. We went across the street to show Logan off to our friends. They have a yellow Lab & Logan loved her. He laughed & cackled! Sooo funny! He really liked the cabbage beads I caught at the parade.

He's a big fan of the remote too. Don't think you can fool him with one that doesn't work either.

He must have really liked the noise he made when he patted his hands on the seats of the bar stools because he kept doing it & smiling at me.

Logan likes to take a bath too. I can't wait until the pool gets warm enough to swim. He's going to LOVE it! Of course everytime we tried to get a picture of him in the tub when he was laughing he looked at us like we were crazy when he saw the camera!

He has a new trick & he's very proud of himself.

He claps!! It's so cute!

I love his little pj's. We had such a good time playing with him all night but he was very excited to see his mama & daddy when they came to pick him up.

Sunday morning we went to 7:00 Mass, which was really 6:00, which is entirely too early! I was exhausted so I took a nap when we got home. By the time I woke up & ate lunch it was time to go to the LSU game. Our niece & nephew are on spring break this week so they're staying with Dean's parents. Drew came to the game. He wouldn't allow me to take his picture. This is all I could get. At lease it's proof he was there.

Once we got home from the game, (LSU lost again), our friend/cousin by marriage Leslie came over with baby Sam. She enjoyed the cabbage beads too!

She played awhile & then just chilled a bit.

So, as you can see, I had a very busy weekend. It was so much fun but maybe I'm getting too old for all that fun in one weekend because I feel like I could really use a nap!

Lil Jermajesty

FINALLY! It's Friday. For whatever reason, I didn't think this week would ever end. Seriously. The slowest week ever.

The other day I talked about Lil Wayne's sentencing being delayed a day due to the courthouse fire. Well, Lil still isn't in jail. That will come Monday unless some other unbelievable something happens. Apparently, there was damage to the courthouse & they won't re-open until Monday. Things could get interesting. With his second last weekend of freedom it is not outside the realm of possibility that he does something else to get arrested for. We'll see.

The whole stun gun incident is still a big hoorah at the Jackson house. What I find more interesting is that someone would actually name their kid Jermajesty. I'm not kidding people. That is one of Jermaine's kids. Maybe he can be a rapper, Lil Jermajesty!!

Once again I'm not at the baseball game. You guessed it, too cold! I've said it a lot recently but I need some warm weather. I'd never make it living somewhere that is really cold, like Minnesota. When I say I want warm weather I don't mean August temps either. There's no need for it to be 50 or 100. Somewhere around 80 everyday would be ideal. Do you think Mother Nature reads my blog?? That's what I thought.

After work I met Dean at Brewbachers to eat. I love Brewbachers. "Back in the day" my friends & I frequented it at least once a week. Usually, after LSU games, both baseball & football. I like going before & after games because there's always a million people we know there & it's like a big party.

I caught up on some DVR stuff tonight that Dean isn't interested in. The mindless TV that I love so much! The season finale of Real Housewives of OC & the season premier of Real Housewives of NY were both on last night but after my bed time. Of all the Housewives shows I think OC is my favorite. Probably just because I love California so much & it's one place that I would love to live. The NY housewives was great! If you're not watching these shows you're missing out. I did have a revelation tonight while watching. Ramona is the female version of Vince Vaughn. Once her mouth gets going it's virtually impossible for her to zip it. Kelly was only on for a bit which makes me very happy. I DO NOT like that girl. I use the term girl loosely because I swear she's really a man. I'm sick to death of hearing "Countess". Get over yourself. I say if the Count divorces you, you're no longer a Countess. Anyway, so far Bethenny's still my favorite.

Look what I got.

I had a couple of coupons for JCPenney's & I've been needing/wanting a pair of black flats so I went to see what they had. They were $50 shoes on sale for $30. I had a 15% off coupon & then if you use your JCP card they gave you a scratch off for additional savings. I got another 15% off so I paid like $23 for them. Sounds like a deal to me! Now I just need to find some cute brown flats.

Night Night!
