Coming to you live from....

My sofa. If you check back tomorrow at this time I'm willing to bet I'm still here. That potential sinus infection I spoke of Friday looks like it's becoming a reality. I got some steroids today so I'm hoping this will be gone sooner rather than later. I've got lots of stuff going on this week, an eye doctor appt., a Christmas dinner, a Christmas party, a hair appt. & I must get my nails done sometime this week. No time to be sick.

Friday night was my office Christmas party. I managed to medicate myself enough to enjoy it. The party was at my boss' house which is AHHHMAZING!!!!  Custom built, 7000  sq. ft. of pure amazing. Seriously, completely gorgeous!

Saturday, I was not feeling so great & all I did the entire day was wrap gifts. It took me the entire day and YES, Dean's gift is still missing. I'm beginning to think it's not in the house. Thankfully, if that's the case I'm not out a lot of money. It was one of his cheaper gifts!

Sunday we went to my parents & hung out with them & Logan. This is one of Logan's favorite past times.

He's playing boats. The blue comforter is his water & the quilt is his boat ramp. If you sit in the "water" he's quick to tell you to "move, that's the water".  He loves this dog that our Godchild Lane gave him.

Logan's a dare devil. He also has a one track mind. Everything has something to do with a boat. At one point he was sitting sideways on the dog pretending like he was fishing & he started yelling "get the net!". Can you tell his mama & daddy spend a lot of time with him fishing at the camp? It was so funny!

Last night I went to Mass. That didn't work out so well. In the span of about 20 minutes I had 2 coughing fits. You know the kind that causes your eyes to water like crazy & make your nose run? All while sucking on cough drops to make sure it didn't happen. The ridiculous part of the whole thing is that I hadn't coughed at all before that. I finally gave up & came home. Hoping God gives me credit for making an effort! The more ridiculous part? I didn't cough again until I laid down to go to sleep. So annoying.

UGGGHHH!!!

Last night when I blogged I said how tired I was. Guess what? Today I'm ridiculously sleepy. I managed to keep my eyes open until 9:30 last night. At 12:30 I was wide awake. So wide awake that I laid there looking at the clock & tossing & turning for 2 hours. Finally, at 2:30 I got up & went in another room & read for awhile. I started to get sleepy so I just went to sleep on the sofa. I knew if I got up & went back to bed I'd be awake again. I figure I got about 5 hours of sleep. That may seem like plenty to some people but ideally I need double that. Always have & I doubt it's going to be changing anytime soon. Needless to say, I could lay my head down on my desk & be out in 2 seconds flat. I contribute my lack of sleep to Mucinex D. I'm still not well. I feel much better but my ears are still bothering me & I have sinus pain & pressure. I don't generally take this medicine  in the evenings because I've learned that it keeps me awake. I thought I took it early enough & that I was tired enough for it not to matter. Never doing that again. I called my Dr. this morning & he's calling me in another antibiotic & another z pack of steroids. Oh joy. Hopefully, this will work. We're leaving for the beach in 10 days & I need to be over this.

Last week Angie had pics on her blog & she had on a really cute cover up. She told me she got it at Walmart so off I went. I was excited to find one.

I love the way the bottom isn't cut straight across. The best part? $12 people!!!! I was also able to find a pair of swimsuit bottoms for $10. I didn't take a pic because they're just your basic black bottoms. I also wanted a new beach bag. I went to Royal Standard. They always have a bunch of different types. I had a hard time picking one out but I finally decided on this one.

Yeh, I know the pics aren't good. I was using my phone. It's easier. Anyway, the bag is a light aqua color & I bought a little yellow make up size bag to go with it. Very beachy I thought! Total cost was $23 with tax. I looked at Target Friday night & the ones they had were $20 & not nearly as cute I didn't think.

The Casey Anthony verdict was just announced. Not Guilty. Interesting. I haven't watched the case but I've read about it. Reminds me a lot of the debacle that was OJ's trial. I'll never be convinced he didn't do it.

Weigh In Wednesday!

This week Weigh In Wednesday comes to you from the sofa in my sitting room. I'm home sick. UGH! This is not the week that I need to be sick. I have plans people!! Today was supposed to be my 3rd Yogalates workout this week because I can't go tomorrow because I have a long overdue hair appt. Looks like it's just going to be a 2 class week. I hate that because it makes it harder when I go back. Oh well, some things can't be helped.

Last night I was feeling a touch of a sore throat coming on. I woke up at 12:30 & my throat felt raw. Great. I got up & took a Benadryl. I knew after taking that there was no way I could go to work. I also used some Chloraseptic which is apparently past it's good by date because it numbed my throat for all of about 2 seconds. Great. How am I going to be able to scream at the NKOTB concert if I have a sore throat???? It's a quandary for sure.

So back to the point of this post. I lost 2.2 pounds this week!! Woot Woot!! I'm so excited because I did indulge in Lydia's mac & cheese & I'll admit I did have a little of it for supper last night. Not to mention the key lime pie & strawberry delight from Sunday. I guess it's true what they say about moderation. There's leftover key lime pie in my fridge & I haven't touched it since the one small slice I had Sunday. Yay me!

I'm off to finish catching up with Kardashians & napping.

I'm Back

And alive. Thankfully. I've been under the weather the last couple of days. So much so I didn't make it to work. I spent a lot of time laying on the sofa & sadly, my DVR is almost cleared out. Needless to say there hasn't been anything blog worthy going on. 

I've written about my co-worker that I refer to as Bob Marley before. Well, as I sit here I'm listening to a conversation he's having about aliens. OK fine, no biggie. Except YES this is a biggie. To me anyway. He's telling people aliens exist. He's saying it like he really, truly believes it. Fine, whatever. It's a free country, believe what you want. It doesn't end there though. He's now saying that "with the direction the world is going, they'll be coming down shortly". WTH???? Someone asked why? (That someone doesn't buy anything he's saying but he's egging Bob on). Bob replies "because they're our parents". Again, WTH?????????
