Happy Monday! I did NOT want to get out of bed this morning. I was sleeping so good! We had a fun night & I didn't get to sleep until 10:00 which is late for me on a work night. We went across the street for a Super Bowl Party. There was tons of good food! I think I may have seen 3 plays of the game. I didn't even see many commercials. It doesn't seem to be as big a deal to watch them knowing I can go on YouTube & see what I missed.
Today I'm linking up to Between Naps On The Porch, DIY by Design

I've made several Mardi Gras wreaths this year for my mom & some of my friends. I forgot to take a before picture but I just used the green Christmas wreaths & then wrapped them with tinsel. This is the wreath I made for my friend Allison.

It looks a lot better hanging on her door that it does here. It was hanging crooked & I didn't realize it & the bow wasn't sitting right. I swear I think one of my eyes is lower than the other one. I found the fleur de lis' at Hob Lob. Love them!
This is the one I made for Wendy.
Here's a close up of the bow. I like to use 2 or 3 different types of ribbon. I love the wide ribbon so much. Depending on which way the light hits it looks different colors. Sometimes purple, sometimes green. I found it at Hob Lob too! This year we have a late Mardi Gras. It's not until March 8th. I like that because it means a longer Mardi Gras season which in turn means more king cake & we can keep our wreaths up longer!
Today is class 3 of Yogalates. The soreness is much better today. I'm sure it'll be back with a vengeance tomorrow but that's ok!
Toodles!
Super cute! Those bows are to die for! :) And seriously, Hobby Lobby?? It's close to heaven, isn't it?? :)

Every year I say I am going to have a Mardi Gras wreath. I have a large old Christmas wreath, plenty of beads and the tinsel. Those fleur de lis were $$$ at HobLob recently. I am purple and green and gold with envy! How much would you charge me for one of your gorgeous bows? I am going to get my wreath out of my loft TONIGHT! You inspire me!!!
ReplyDeleteYou kick arse lady! You're inspiring me to get back into yoga!

ReplyDeleteYogalates? This sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteLovin' your wreath, but it reminds me that I need to get on the ball and get our door decorated for Mardi Gras! It's hard for me to get in the spirit though since it's sooo late this year!
Good job, T!
